about

We march confidently towards the gate knowing we can open it.
Banners streaming as a fanfare rolls out over the rocks...

Miles from our everyday lives. Long nights till the dawn, ringing sirens and crashing waves. We fight an issuing of giant spiders and their keepers sending chaotic thoughts into our minds.

When the gate was open ideas tumbled out. Our herald was crushed by debris. Each surprise noise or word crashing to the floor, a signpost... We refused to read the signs, forging on with eyes shut tight.

A tunnel was forced through the mess and the beast was lulled and the lode mined.

Spread upon the ground it seemed like only rubble but there was ore to be refined yet... There was music here for sure, if we could get it home...

"Wonderful! Sounds like the back of all those old sci fi paperback books you got...or Arthurian sagas of yore.." M___ M____

There are more guitars on this album. M__ M___ played a warped old acoustic guitar. Dedicated to ROSE DONUT. Cover photo by M___M___

Title Track bass written by M___ M____. Arrangements by C___ D____. This album made up the bulk of our live set, including Special Dinner (named after a pet cat) and AS IT IS SPOKEN (aka a Trip to Visit McLean on Holiday), our most performed song. Overdubs include FF live tapes and found tapes. Very delirious all around.

The first record after the official demise of our, until then, main project. Somehow this camp had become our permanent home. Better to reign under a tarp than serve in a mansion, eh?
